Warzone & PvP

The Warzone is PrimordialMC's central PvP arena where the highest-stakes gameplay takes place. Boss spawns, KOTH events, Envoys, the Dark Market, and Outposts all converge in this dangerous ~500x500 block area. Enter at your own risk.

The Three Zones

PrimordialMC's world is divided into three distinct zones, each with different PvP rules and risk levels.

Zone PvP Risk Details
Spawn Off None Protected area with no loot loss. NPCs, shops, and services are located here.
Wilderness On Low Claimable land, mob drops, professions. PvP enabled but lower risk than warzone.
Warzone On High Central ~500x500 block area. All major events, boss spawns, and full loot drops.

Warzone Mechanics

The Warzone is a roughly 500x500 block area at the center of the map. It serves as the hub for all competitive PvE and PvP content.

High-Risk Zone

The Warzone is a full-loot PvP zone. You will drop your entire inventory on death, and anyone can pick it up. Never bring items you cannot afford to lose.

Combat Tag System

When you deal or receive PvP damage, you become combat tagged. This prevents players from escaping fights through teleportation or safe zone entry.

Mechanic Details
Duration10 seconds from any PvP hit (giving or receiving)
Ender Pearl Cooldown16 seconds while tagged (extended from normal cooldown)
Safe Zone EntryBlocked — cannot enter Spawn or Warzone spawn while tagged

Blocked Commands While Tagged

The following commands are disabled during combat tag:

Death Penalties in Warzone

Dying in the Warzone carries severe penalties. Understanding exactly what you lose is critical before entering.

What Happens Details
InventoryAll inventory items drop as loot — anyone can pick them up
Armor1 random armor piece drops; the other 3 are kept with 50% durability loss
XPFully resets to level 0
OffhandOffhand item drops

KOTH Exception

During KOTH events, keep-inventory is active. You will not lose any items or armor on death, making KOTH the lowest-risk PvP in the Warzone.

Banned Mechanics in Warzone

Certain mechanics are disabled in the Warzone to ensure fair, skill-based combat.

Invisibility

Elytra

Why These Bans?

Invisibility and Elytra trivialize combat encounters. Removing them ensures every fight is decided by gear, builds, and player skill rather than avoidance mechanics.

Combat Mechanics

PrimordialMC features several custom combat mechanics that differ from vanilla Minecraft PvP.

Mechanic Details
Guild Friendly Fire Blocked — guild members cannot damage each other
Mace Damage Cap 1.0 per block (0–3 blocks), 0.5 (3–8 blocks), 0.25 (8+ blocks)
Bleed Damage-over-time effect that stacks additively; clears on death or duration expiry
Custom Enchant Triggers Attack enchants on hit, defense enchants on being hit, kill enchants on killing
Silence Enchant Can disable opponent's armor enchant procs on hit

Warzone Profession Bonuses

Gathering and combat professions receive significant bonuses inside the Warzone, rewarding players who take the risk of working in a PvP-active zone.
