Mobs & Bestiary

PrimordialMC features a full roster of custom mobs powered by MythicMobs. From tiered wilderness encounters to dungeon horrors and world bosses, every fight matters.

Overview

All custom mobs on PrimordialMC are built with the MythicMobs plugin. The server features:

  • 4 tiers of wild mobs that scale by region
  • 4 dungeon mob sets with unique fragment drops and bosses
  • Fishing combat mobs that can hook you into a fight
  • World bosses requiring community coordination

Wild Mobs

Wild mobs spawn across the Overworld in four tiers of increasing difficulty. The further you venture from spawn, the tougher they get.

Tier 1 -- Spawn Region / Near Wilderness

These mobs roam the areas closest to spawn and the edges of the wilderness. They are the weakest custom mobs on the server:

  • Rotting Shambler -- slow undead with basic melee attacks
  • Hollow Archer -- ranged skeleton variant
  • Mossback Spider -- tanky spider with a poisonous bite
  • Cinderspark -- small fire elemental
  • Dustclaw Prowler -- fast, low-HP ambush mob
  • Mudlurk -- emerges from the ground near water
  • Thornback Charger -- charges at players from a distance
  • Flickering Shade -- semi-transparent mob that appears at night

Tier 2 -- Outer Wilderness

Tougher variants with more HP and damage. Found in the outer wilderness regions away from well-traveled paths.

Tier 3 -- Deep Wilderness

Significantly stronger mobs with special abilities and better material drops. These regions are dangerous for unprepared players.

Tier 4 -- Warzone Borders

The most powerful wild mobs in the game. Found near warzone borders, these creatures deal heavy damage and drop the best overworld materials.

Note: Higher tier mobs have progressively more HP, deal more damage, and drop better crafting materials. Gear up before venturing into Tier 3+ areas.

Dungeon Mobs

Each dungeon has its own set of custom mobs with unique fragment drops used for crafting dungeon gear. See the Dungeons & Bosses page for full dungeon guides.

Combat XP from Mobs

Killing mobs is the primary way to level up the Combat profession. XP rewards scale with mob difficulty:

Wild Tier 2+ Scaling XP up to 200+
Dungeon Mobs Scales by dungeon tier
Bosses Significant XP rewards

Tip: Combat profession levels unlock crafting recipes, stat bonuses, and more. See the Professions page for details on Combat leveling.
