Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about PrimordialMC answered directly.
No. Zero tolerance for pay-to-win.
Ranks (Pixie through Primordial) give convenience perks like extra homes, kits, and daily gem income — they do not provide combat advantages. Gems are the premium currency, but they're fully earnable through daily login (up to 25/day with Primordial rank) and voting. Crate keys are cosmetic-heavy. No purchased combat power exists on this server.
Harder than most servers. That's the point.
Each of the 5 professions takes approximately 200 hours to max out at Level 100. Mythical gear (the highest tier) requires Level 60, weeks of boss farming, and material evolution through multiple crafting stages. The Ascension quest tree — the endgame capstone — requires Level 50 and at least 3 professions at Level 60 just to start.
Endgame bosses range from 10,000 to 100,000 HP and require coordinated groups, specific gear, and real strategy to defeat. If you're looking for a casual, relaxed experience, this may not be the right server. If you want depth, challenge, and the satisfaction of overcoming difficult content, welcome home.
Yes, in the Warzone.
PvP is enabled in the Warzone, a roughly 500x500 central zone. The Wilderness and Spawn are safe — you can build, farm, and explore without PvP risk. But the Warzone is where the best events and rewards live.
When you die in the Warzone: your entire inventory drops, 1 armor piece drops, and your XP resets to 0. Combat tag lasts 10 seconds and blocks all teleportation — no escaping mid-fight. Events like KOTH, Envoys, and the Dark Market auction all take place inside the Warzone.
No mods required. Vanilla client works perfectly.
PrimordialMC uses server-side plugins for all custom content. You join with a standard Minecraft client — no downloads, no mod loaders, no setup.
Quality-of-life mods (minimap, inventory tweaks, shaders) are allowed. Anything that gives a competitive advantage is not.
Yes — the game teaches you as you play.
The Newcomer's Path (18 quests) teaches all core systems step by step. You spawn on an arrival pad, walk through a portal to spawn, then use /wild to teleport to the survival world. A starter kit with iron gear gets you going immediately.
The quest system guides you through professions, crafting, and combat at your own pace. The server is challenging, but it doesn't throw you in blind — the Newcomer's Path makes sure you understand every system before the difficulty ramps up.
Two currencies, multiple marketplaces.
Coins are the main currency, earned from quests, fishing, and selling items. Gems are the premium currency (~$0.01 each), earned from daily login, voting, and quest rewards.
There are four main places to spend:
- Server Shop — Enchant books, passive spawners, and essentials
- Gem Shop — Crate keys, claim blocks, and rank upgrades
- Auction House — Player-to-player trading with a 5% tax
- Dark Market — A timed auction event every 10 hours featuring rare items like hostile spawners and Mythical Essence
Months, not days. That's by design.
Each of the 5 professions (Mining, Farming, Fishing, Woodcutting, Combat) takes approximately 200 hours to reach Level 100. Your main level increases as your profession levels rise. Gear tiers unlock at Levels 1, 5, 10, 30, and 60.
Across all 482 quests, total rewards add up to roughly 2M coins and 8,000 gems. The Ascension quest tree — the endgame capstone — requires all 5 professions at Level 100 to complete.
